Robert and Laura Nance: Music-&-Lyrics

*SPECIAL* This song is different from our album... just a special addition to our site... not for sale as yet, entitled: "THE VALLEY OF THE BLUES"

(GINTAS ABARIUS - PIANO, RON RAVENSCROFT - GUITAR, ROBERT NANCE - BASS, AL SERGEL - DRUMS)
2008-11-01
COMPOSER: GINTAS ABARIUS - Along with being recognized as Lithuania's best jazz pianist, Gintas has established himself as a composer of much renown. "I am Calling the Nation" and "God Bless Lithuania" are two of his compositions which are always heard during Lithuania's national holidays and celebrations. Along with being involved with music for television and the cinema, Gintas is one of the pioneers of contemporary Christian music in Lithuania and Russia. * * * The highly emotional and exciting guitar solo was played by Ron Ravenscroft just hours before he went to be with the Lord. The concert was a joyous event it was held as a benefit to meet the medical needs of a friend. Ron was playing in what he felt to be the "band of his dreams". *** NOTE: In order to hear the entire guitar solo, click on the whole song. ***
Regarding the "Blues" Gintas has said that while worshipping at a church in North Carolina for several years he learned that: "if you don't like the 'blues' you probably have a hole in your soul".

He adds that the Bible speaks of sorrow and pain but Praise God great deliverance of the Lord! The "blues" is only a temporary thing. We have valleys, but coming out of the valleys we are different (victorious in Christ) people.

Gintus wrote this song following the burial of an a very sweet 18 year old daughter of a friend. As he stood at the gravesite he thought "why this child... why not me"?

Sometimes we cannot understand the measures and ways of His goodness and His grace. So let us value and be thankful for every single day God gives us. God is in control and His love is everlasting.
